When you eat with pleasure, your body can digest nutrients more fully, and your intestines deliver accurate signals to the brain for satiation and portion control. Our nutrition coaching uses pleasure as a key ingredient in all food choices.
Food is a pain in the ass sometimes! It’s hard to keep up with the pace of life, the misinformation in the nutrition space, and the demands of different eaters in any household, including one where you have to eat and cook for just yourself. Like anything, once we engage and slow down, food becomes a doorway to awareness and health. We help you listen to your body to learn the difference between addiction and checking out, and awareness and checking in.
We are no-diet coaches who believe that being curious helps you learn the right answers for you. It takes time to learn and adapt to the foods that fit your unique body and lifestyle. We have only three guidelines we follow, and our coaching helps you identify over time how these principles work for your own body. Our guidance is that food is nourishing when it is:
nutrient dense // colorful fresh when possible
non toxic or less toxic // notice where food comes from and what’s in it
easy to digest for you // we use assessments to find out what you are sensitive or allergic to, and how to prepare foods that you can actually digest to keep inflammation down
